I road tripped from Chicago to Davenport, Iowa to prompt for Governor Mitt Romney at the Hotel Blackhawk a week before the caucus!  Romney subtly acknowledged using our teleprompters by saying he wanted to make sure he got his words right, so he wrote them down.  It was a pretty cool experience, and when I got back to the office, Frank told me his stories of  the campaign trail with Senator John Kerry in 2004.  Pretty fun to be “behind the scenes” of politics!

We’ve been on shows all over the place the past couple months, but here’s a little taste of where Katie has been.

Root, Root, Root for JDRF

One of the cooler places to run prompter from, the dugout of the Chicago Cubs.  Katie enjoyed staying warm in her ridiculous hat, being able to walk to Wrigley for the show, and helping the Illinois Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation raise an insane amount of money to find a cure.  They are one inspiring group of people, and Katie has been fortunate to be teleprompting for them for over five years now.

Katie spent the first week of June in Miami prompting for a Volvo Dealer’s Meeting. A quick stop home to see her best friends get married, then helping out the American Medical Association Annual Meeting, which Frank technical produces and we provide the teleprompter operator and the presidential glass.  Then she was off to Detroit to do some production coordinating for our buddies at Jackson Dawson Communications.

Last weekend, Katie’s inner boy band loving teenager reappeared when she prompted for ABC’s Karaoke Battle USA’s Chicago auditions at the House of Blues, hosted by Joey Fatone.  Fun fact: Joey was always Katie’s favorite *Nsync member, and she caught his shirt at a concert in 2000.

Katie was back as the teleprompter operator for American Osteopathic Association for the 7th year running at the Fairmont Chicago this week, and was happy to help some presenters give awesome speeches to fire up their House of Delegates.
